After our adventures in Bangkok and Elephant Hills, it was time for us to head to the last leg of our journey - Koh Samui. We had experienced some amazing things but now we were ready to sit back and relax at the gorgeous  Centara Villas . From Elephant Hills, we were driven to a ferry which took us to the island. It was a crazy long journey and we were feeling awful by the end of it. We were so relieved to finally reach the resort.

  After spending the first part of our honeymoon in the wonderful, amazing, gorgeous city of Bangkok, we made our way to the next part -  Elephant Hills . Here we would explore the jungle, spend time with rescue elephants and stay on a floating rainforest camp. We couldn't wait! After being out drinking the night before on our hotel's rooftop bar, we woke up way too early for our liking to catch our flight to Khao Sok national park. We were so unbelievably tired when we arrived that we could barely keep our eyes open, so it was really nice that we were greeted with some refreshing drinks and had a quick check-in.

 One of the most fun parts of planning our wedding was talking endlessly about our honeymoon. But when it came to picking where we would go, we were completely stumped. My mother had given us a very generous wedding present - a honeymoon budget to spend as we pleased. Now that we had a great budget, suddenly the whole world seemed to open up for us, but we just couldn't come to a decision. Everything we researched felt like it didn't match up to our expectations of what our honeymoon should  feel  like. We looked into the Greek Islands, Sandals Resorts, Hawaii, Aruba - we even contemplated returning to Vancouver as a sort of a tip-of-the-cap to where we first met - but none of it felt right.
